Pride in London WE ARE EVERYWHERE

With LGBTQIA+ rights increasingly restricted and hate crimes on the rise, Pride in London wanted to make a stand – and use the noise around this year’s march to broadcast a statement of solidarity and defiance.

WE ARE EVERYWHERE put the community front and centre, celebrating the spirit and impact everyday LGBTQIA+ Londoners have on their city. Bringing colour. Bringing defiance. Bringing joy.

Through a beautiful film and powerful series of portraits, the campaign captured ordinary people from the community embracing their individuality and refusing to deny any part of themselves.

The striking images borrow and subvert a classic black and white aesthetic from heteronormative beauty advertising, marrying this with witty, subversive headlines that amplify the language of protest. Written by and for LGBTQIA+ Londoners, these lines flip the language of abuse and reflect insightful and powerful inside jokes that are themselves an act of resistance.

Our portraits flooded iconic out-of-home locations across the city (including Piccadilly Lights and Outernet), as well as press, digital and social media throughout June in the lead up to the march.

Honest, authentic and powerful, our campaign sent a defiant message and enhanced every space it appeared in – just like queer Londoners do, every single day.
